Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead to oversee the safe and efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a Remote Operations Center in Barcelona. You will collaborate with site teams and engineering experts to detect, analyze, and resolve issues, ensuring turbines perform reliably throughout their lifecycle.

You will monitor performance, support commissioning and service activities, and contribute to process improvements while rotating weekday shifts and occasional on-call support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operation.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication, calm under pressure.
• Availability to travel up to 20% of the time, if required.
• Fluent English (spoken and written), relocation to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
