Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center in Barcelona to oversee offshore wind assets, enabling safe, efficient operations from a centralized center. You will work across commissioning and service phases with site teams, applying remote diagnostics and structured issue resolution.

The role emphasizes wind turbine operation, SCADA expertise, and data-driven optimization. International collaboration and occasional travel support a dynamic, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication.
• Availability to travel up to 20% of the time, if required.
• Fluent English (spoken and written), willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
