Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead to oversee remote operations for offshore wind assets in Barcelona, Spain. You will work with site teams and engineers to detect, analyze, and resolve issues to ensure safe, reliable turbine performance.

You will monitor performance, guide remote diagnostics, and contribute to continuous improvement while coordinating with cross-functional teams. The role includes rotating shifts and occasional on-call support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind sector experience.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication.
• Availability to travel up to 20% of the time, if required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
