Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind) in Barcelona, Spain. The role focuses on safe, reliable offshore wind asset operation, supporting commissioning and service during lifecycle, with remote diagnostics and field collaboration.

You will monitor performance, analyze data, troubleshoot, and contribute to process improvements while working a rotating shift and occasional on-call support. Fluency in English and EU relocation eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine or electromechanical systems experience in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and clear technical communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Fluent English; willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
