Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy) based in Barcelona, Spain. You will monitor offshore wind assets, collaborating with site teams to ensure safe, reliable turbine performance throughout their lifecycle.

You will lead remote diagnostics, troubleshoot issues, and analyse data to drive improvements, with travel up to 20% and on-call rotation for occasional weekends and holidays. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication and a calm, structured approach under pressure.
• Available to travel up to 20% of the time, if required.
• Fluent English (spoken and written), willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
