Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for its Remote Operations Center focusing on offshore wind assets in Barcelona. You will monitor turbines, diagnose issues, and guide service teams to sustain reliable performance across the lifecycle.

In this role you’ll collaborate with engineering peers, analyze data, and drive continuous improvements, with occasional field travel and weekend/on-call support as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar systems in operational environments
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona if required
• Fluent English (spoken and written) and EU work eligibility

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
• Analyse operational data to identify faults and improvement opportunities
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
