Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy) in Barcelona, Spain. You will monitor turbine performance, perform remote diagnostics, and support field teams to maintain optimal wind asset operation.

You will collaborate with engineering and site teams, analyze data to identify faults, and contribute to continuous improvement while ensuring safety and compliance. Fluency in English is essential, Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (or equivalent wind energy experience).
• Hands-on wind turbine or electromechanical systems experience in operation environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving with clear technical communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, if required.
• Fluent English; willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
