Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for its Remote Operations Center in Barcelona. You will oversee safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets, guiding commissioning and service activities from a remote facility.

You’ll collaborate with site teams and engineers to diagnose issues, analyse data, and drive continuous improvements, with travel up to 20% and occasional on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine experience in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; calm under pressure.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Fluent English; willing to relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms.
• Support commissioning and service via remote diagnostics.
• Assist field teams in resolving issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data for faults and trends.
• Support reporting of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvements and optimization.
• Assist with grid outage support when required.
