Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for its Remote Operations Center in Barcelona to ensure safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets. You will monitor turbines, analyze alarms, and guide commissioning and service activities from a remote hub.

You will collaborate with site teams and engineers, analyze data for faults and improvements, and support grid contingencies while handling a rotating weekday schedule and on-call duties. Fluency in English and EU work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
