Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for its Remote Operations Center in Barcelona to monitor offshore wind assets from a remote hub, supporting commissioning and service phases and ensuring reliable turbine performance.

You will collaborate with site teams and engineers to detect issues, analyze data, and drive continuous improvement while prioritising safety and compliance. Fluent English and EU work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
Hands-on wind turbine experience in operational environments.
Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
Strong analytical and communication skills, calm under pressure.
Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona.

Responsibilities

Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends and improvement opportunities.
Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
Work a rotating weekday shift with occasional on-call weekends/public holidays.
