Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead to oversee remote operations for offshore wind assets from Barcelona. You will monitor turbines, analyze alarms, and guide commissioning and service activities with remote diagnostics and field support.

In this role, you will collaborate with engineering teams, analyze data for faults and trends, and contribute to safety, process improvements, and reporting. Expect rotating shifts and on-call duty as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind sector experience.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools.
• Willingness to relocate to Barcelona and travel up to 20% if required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
