Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead to oversee offshore wind assets from a Remote Operations Center in Barcelona. You’ll collaborate with site teams and engineers to monitor performance, diagnose issues, and drive reliability across commissioning and service phases.

This role requires hands-on turbine or electromechanical system experience, SCADA knowledge, the ability to read electrical schematics, and strong communication in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind-energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine experience in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona.
• Fluent English; EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call weekends/public holidays.
