Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead to support offshore wind assets from a remote operations center in Barcelona. You will monitor performance, analyze alarms, and guide both commissioning and service activities to maintain turbine reliability.

Collaborate with site teams and engineers to resolve issues, analyze data, and drive continuous improvement while adhering to safety and regulatory requirements. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy.
• Experience with wind turbines in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; calm under pressure.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Fluent English; willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on‑call coverage during weekends and holidays.
