Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for our Remote Operations Center in Barcelona to supervise offshore wind assets, ensuring safe, reliable operation across commissioning and service phases.

You will analyze turbine data, coordinate with site teams and engineering experts, perform remote diagnostics, and drive continuous improvements while prioritising safety and compliance. Fluency in English is required, with EU work eligibility and willingness to relocate to Barcelona.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine or similar electromechanical systems experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and communication skills under pressure.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Fluent English; EU work eligibility and relocation to Barcelona if required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms.
• Remote diagnostics and troubleshooting for commissioning and service.
• Assist field teams in resolving issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimization.
• Support grid outages with safety and compliance.
• Work rotating weekday shifts with on-call weekends/public holidays.
