Job summary

GE Vernova in Barcelona is seeking a ROC Technical Lead to oversee the safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a remote operations center. You will collaborate with site teams and engineers to detect, analyze, and resolve issues, ensuring turbines perform reliably throughout their lifecycle.

The role involves remote diagnostics, field support coordination, data analysis, incident reporting, and contributing to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Fluent English; willing to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support.
