Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead in Barcelona to monitor offshore wind assets from a remote operations center, supporting commissioning and service phases to ensure turbine reliability and optimal performance.

You will work with site teams and engineers to diagnose issues, analyze data, and drive continuous improvement, with travel up to 20% and a rotating weekday schedule with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine experience in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; calm under pressure.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona.
• Fluent English, EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays
