Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead to oversee offshore wind assets from a remote operations center in Barcelona. You will collaborate with site teams and engineering experts to detect and resolve issues, ensuring safe, efficient performance across commissioning and service phases.

You will monitor equipment, analyze data, and support remote diagnostics with a focus on continuous improvement. Strong English, travel up to 20%, and a readiness to relocate are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind-energy experience.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot field issues.
• Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; calm structured approach under pressure.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call rotations.
