Job summary

GE Vernova is looking for a ROC Technical Lead to manage safe and efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a remote operations center in Barcelona. You’ll collaborate with site teams and engineers to diagnose and resolve issues throughout commissioning and service phases.

The role requires hands-on wind turbine experience, ability to read electrical schematics, and strong SCADA skills, with willingness to relocate and travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands‑on experience with wind turbines or electromechanical systems.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) and willingness to relocate to Barcelona.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call support during weekends/holidays.
