Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead to oversee safe, efficient offshore wind asset operation from a remote center. You’ll collaborate with site teams and engineers to diagnose and resolve issues, ensuring turbine reliability across commissioning and service phases.

The role requires hands-on wind turbine experience, ability to read electrical schematics, and fluency in English. Travel up to 20% and relocation to Barcelona are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine or electromechanical systems experience in operations.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply in troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities via remote diagnostics.
• Assist field teams in resolving issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear, structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvements.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work rotating weekday shifts with on-call weekend/public holiday support.
