Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for its Remote Operations Center in Barcelona to ensure safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets. The role involves monitoring, remote diagnostics, and collaboration with site teams to troubleshoot and optimize performance.

The candidate will work across commissioning and service phases, reading electrical schematics, and leveraging SCADA and other digital tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication.
Willingness to travel up to 20% of time, if required.
Fluent English (spoken and written); willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call support during weekends/public holidays.
