Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead to oversee the safe and efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a remote operations center in Barcelona, Spain. The role spans commissioning and service, requiring collaboration with site teams and engineering experts to analyze issues and maintain turbine reliability.

You will monitor performance, perform remote diagnostics, assist field teams, and drive continuous improvement while coordinating with cross-functional groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
