Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead to operate offshore wind assets from a remote operations center, coordinating with site teams and engineering experts to ensure safe, reliable performance. The role covers commissioning and service, with remote diagnostics and proactive issue resolution.

You will analyse data, drive improvements, and support grid outage activities while adhering to safety and compliance. Relocation to Barcelona is expected where required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine operation in real environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
• Experience with digital monitoring tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
