Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center (Wind) to oversee safe, efficient offshore wind asset operations from Barcelona. You will support commissioning and service activities, analyze data, diagnose issues, and guide field teams to maintain turbine performance.

Responsibilities include monitoring turbine performance, responding to alarms, implementing remote diagnostics, troubleshooting, and collaborating with engineering to enable continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience in wind energy.
• Hands-on wind turbine or electromechanical systems experience in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication and a calm, structured approach under pressure.
• Availability to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) and willingness to relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimization.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
