Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy) to oversee safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets from Barcelona. You will work across commissioning and service phases, detecting and resolving issues with site teams and engineering experts to ensure turbines perform reliably throughout their lifecycle.

You will monitor performance, perform remote diagnostics, support field teams, and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication.
• Available to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Fluent English (spoken and written); willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
