Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy) in Barcelona, Spain. You will oversee safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets, collaborating with site teams and engineering experts to detect and resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.

You will monitor performance, support remote diagnostics, assist field teams, and contribute to data-driven optimization, with travel up to 20% and English fluency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine experience in operational environments.
• Fluent English; able to relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
