Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead to support safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a remote operations center in Barcelona. You will collaborate with site teams and engineers to detect, analyze, and resolve issues, ensuring reliable turbine performance across the lifecycle.

You will monitor performance, assist commissioning and service activities, perform remote diagnostics, and contribute to process improvements while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on wind turbines or electromechanical systems experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot in field support.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; calm, structured under pressure.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Fluent English; willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call during weekends and holidays.
