Chubb External in Madrid is seeking an Underwriter Operations Technician – Offline to support end-to-end offline underwriting processes. The role emphasizes accurate data handling, strong service delivery, and collaboration with local teams and brokers.

Ideal candidates have some insurance experience, English fluency, and a second European language. The position offers hybrid work options with in-office and remote days, plus a range of employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Some insurance experience; desire to grow in the industry.
• Fluent English and another European language (Dutch, German, French or Spanish)
• Good attention to detail and a strong customer service mindset
• Able to work independently and in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Support offline underwriting operations and language-dependent branch activities.
• Enter data into underwriting and other systems accurately and within SLA.
• Prepare policy documentation and underwriting files to meet quality and audit standards.
• Manage broker and internal queries, including credit control support and issue resolution.
• Support QA, reporting, and operational process improvements.
• Assist with system testing, UAT, and new business tools.
• Collaborate with local teams, brokers and the broader operations team to deliver excellent service.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills.
