Formación

• University degree in a relevant field, with at least 3 years’ experience.

Job purpose: This role is crucial for coordinating information and data management across all project activities implemented by IOM. The purpose is to ensure the availability, quality, and appropriate use of data for informed decision-making and reporting. By designing and implementing information management strategies and systems, the position supports the effective monitoring of beneficiaries and project activities. It contributes to upholding IOM's mandate by ensuring data integrity, compliance with data protection principles, and the ethical use of information. The role also supports strengthening operational planning and evidence-based decision-making through robust data analysis and reporting, ultimately contributing to the overall success and accountability of IOM's projects.

Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include coordinating information and data management for all IOM project activities. This involves designing, developing, and implementing the project's information management strategy to ensure data quality and usability for decision-making and reporting. The role requires developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for data collection, storage, analysis, and protection, adhering to IOM's Data Protection Principles. It also entails developing and overseeing information management systems for beneficiary tracking and project monitoring, including designing standardized tools for data collection and feedback mechanisms. The position is responsible for supervising data validation, analysis, and interpretation, ensuring accuracy and reliability. Furthermore, it involves preparing regular reports for donors and stakeholders, providing technical guidance and training on data management to field staff, and ensuring the responsible, secure, and ethical use of information.

Education: A university degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field is required, along with at least three years of relevant professional experience. Alternatively, a secondary school diploma with five years of relevant work experience is acceptable.

Work experience: Requires at least 3 years of related work experience. Experience in liaising with governmental and diplomatic authorities, stakeholders, and working within international organizations, institutions, or non-governmental/governmental organizations is also necessary.

Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills in a multicultural environment. Demonstrated ability to draft clear and concise formal correspondence and project reports. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, spreadsheet and database packages, and web-based management systems. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong work ethic and commitment to humanitarian principles.
