Job summary

Grand Hyatt Barcelona is seeking a proactive Stewarding Supervisor to lead the stewarding team and supervise operations across kitchens and back-of-house areas. You will ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety while supporting high-volume services such as buffets and events.

The role requires leadership, strong organization, and the ability to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Fluency in Spanish is required; English is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in stewarding, kitchen stewarding, back-of-house, or cleaning.
• Experience in high-volume service environments (buffets, banquets, events).
• Knowledge of HACCP, cleaning, disinfection, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of the stewarding team.
• Ensure cleanliness and availability of china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain organization in kitchens, stewarding areas, storage, and back-of-house spaces.
• Support high-volume operations, buffets, banquets, conferences, and events.
• Coordinate with Culinary and Banquets for smooth equipment flow.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, hygiene, and safety procedures.
• Oversee use, storage, and handling of cleaning products and equipment.
• Assist with inventory control, stock rotation, and recordkeeping.
• Train and motivate stewarding colleagues.
• Ensure readiness of areas for daily service and events.
