Job summary

Costa Navarino is seeking a Sous Chef to join our luxury kitchen team at the Messinia resort. You will support the smooth operation of the kitchen, uphold HACCP standards, and lead the culinary team in the absence of senior chefs.

The ideal candidate has a culinary diploma with at least 6 years in a five-star hotel environment, strong English skills, and leadership abilities to drive excellence across kitchen sections.

Qualifications

• Culinary diploma or qualification with minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in a five-star hotel environment, with exposure to different kitchen sections.
• Excellent command of the English language.
• HACCP and Food Safety training.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Basic First Aid and Fire Safety training.
• Good leadership and team management skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of food production and presentation during service.
• Guide and develop the culinary team and oversee kitchen operations in the absence of senior chefs.
• Allocate tasks to kitchen staff and ensure timely completion; support scheduling.
• Monitor stock handling and FIFO; participate in inventories and ensure safety.
• Address guest complaints professionally and report maintenance issues promptly.
