Job summary

Vertex Energy is seeking a Senior Transaction Manager – Renewable Energy to lead the strategic transactions for solar PV and battery storage across Germany and Europe. You will manage the full lifecycle from opportunity identification to closing, coordinating with internal finance, development, engineering, and legal teams as well as external advisors.

The role requires strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of RTB and grid connection challenges, and the ability to travel across Europe.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in renewable energy project transactions, M&A, or infrastructure investments.
• Strong understanding of project development processes and RTB requirements.
• Fluent German and professional English for Europe-focused deals.

Responsibilities

• Lead renewables project transactions, focusing on Solar PV and BESS.
• Identify, evaluate, and execute acquisition and divestment opportunities across Europe.
• Manage full transaction lifecycle: screening, due diligence, negotiation, and closing.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors to ensure timely closes.
• Prepare LOIs, term sheets, SPAs, and APAs with clear risk allocation.
