Job summary

Peak2Peak Search, in partnership with a major European energy player, seeks a Senior Grid Connection Manager to lead HV/MV grid connection for utility-scale solar projects in Germany. Based in Spain, the role combines technical ownership with cross-border collaboration across DSOs/TSOs.

You will oversee electrical studies, HV design, protection, cable sizing and grid-code compliance, guiding internal teams and external partners through development, construction and commissioning stages.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong experience in HV/MV engineering and grid connection.
• Background in utility-scale renewables, ideally solar PV.
• Knowledge of the German electricity market and grid codes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Leading MV/HV grid connection engineering for utility-scale solar projects.
• Managing technical interfaces with German DSOs and TSOs.
• Overseeing electrical studies, HV design, protection, cable sizing and grid-code compliance.
• Supporting projects through development, construction and commissioning.
• Providing technical leadership across internal teams, consultants and external partners.
• Supporting procurement, technical evaluations and equipment selection.
