Job summary

Peak2Peak Search, in partnership with a major European energy player, seeks a Senior Grid Connection Manager to lead HV/MV grid connection for utility-scale solar projects in Germany. Based in Spain, the role combines technical ownership with cross-border collaboration across DSOs/TSOs.

You will oversee electrical studies, HV design, protection, cable sizing and grid-code compliance, guiding internal teams and external partners through development, construction and commissioning stages.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong experience in HV/MV engineering and grid connection.
• Background in utility-scale renewables, ideally solar PV.
• Knowledge of the German electricity market and grid codes is advantageous.

Peak2Peak Search is partnered with a European energy player to appoint a Senior Grid Connection Manager supporting its utility-scale renewable energy portfolio.

Based in Spain, the position will have a particular focus on utility-scale solar projects in Germany, taking technical ownership of grid connection and HV electrical engineering activities across the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading MV/HV grid connection engineering for utility-scale solar projects
• Managing technical interfaces with German DSOs and TSOs
• Overseeing electrical studies, HV design, protection, cable sizing and grid-code compliance
• Supporting projects through development, construction and commissioning
• Providing technical leadership across internal teams, consultants and external partners
• Supporting procurement, technical evaluations and equipment selection

The profile:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Strong experience in HV/MV engineering and grid connection
• Background in utility-scale renewables, ideally solar PV
• Knowledge of the German electricity market, grid codes and DSO/TSO environment highly advantageous
• Fluency in German is a strong plus
• Based in Spain, with the ability to work remotely
