Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Highways Engineer to join the Linear Infrastructures team in Madrid. You will lead roadway design tasks, manage geometric design, maintenance of traffic, and coordination with drainage, bridges, and other disciplines on multinational projects.

The role requires five+ years of highway design experience, fluency in English, and proficiency with Bentley OpenRoads Designer and Autodesk Civil 3D (and CAD tools). Hybrid work model in Spain with global collaboration.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of highway design experience.
• Experience with international standards (AASTHO; British Standards; others).
• Proficiency in Bentley OpenRoads Designer and Autodesk Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of roadway/highway projects across multiple tasks (geometric design, traffic maintenance, paving, signage) with coordination with other disciplines.
• Prepare design calculations/reports for linear infrastructure with limited supervision.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and participate in QA/QC reviews.
