Job summary

AECOM seeks a Highway Engineer in Madrid to join our Linear Infrastructures team. You will contribute to roadway design from feasibility to detail, collaborating on international projects and supporting a broad client base across regions.

The role involves CAD standards, 2D/3D drawings, geometric design of linear infrastructures, and mentoring junior staff. This hybrid role offers opportunities to grow in a global, respected firm.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of working on highway/track/Civils designs (+2 years).
• Intermediate in at least one software packages: OpenRoads, Civil 3d, 12d Model
• Proven commitment with Quality Control Policy and Quality Management System.
• Experience working in the North America region / Australia will be considered favorably.
• Fluent in English (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and lead AECOM’s culture – make it happen, support your team, embrace the new and different.
• Ability to work productively in a collaborative team environment and demonstrate growth potential as well as a desire to learn.
• Work collaboratively on international projects to support AECOMs Home Offices.
• Works on small projects or portions of larger projects supported by EC, with work being reviewed by senior or experienced engineers.
• Performing daily work under Designer’s supervision
• Can set standards and procedures for CAD works
• Working on complex drawings in 2D and 3D including markups and cad works
• Preparing geometric design of linear infrastructures
• May train less experienced staff in preparation of drawing and graphic elements.
