Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior General Accountant with a strong emphasis on Financial Analysis to join a remote team servicing León, Guanajuato from Mexico. You will manage the general ledger, prepare financial statements under NIF, and conduct in-depth analyses to support strategic decisions.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in general accounting, solid knowledge of Mexican standards (NIF), proficiency in SAP or QuickBooks, and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA designation is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of general accounting experience with financial analysis.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican accounting standards (NIF).
• Proficiency in SAP and/or QuickBooks with advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting tasks including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with NIF.
• Perform detailed variance analysis and monitor KPIs.
• Provide insights to management to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies.
