Job summary

Nalanda Global, part of Once For All, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our international Finance team in Madrid. The role offers ownership of core accounting activities, accurate financial reporting, and opportunities to drive process improvements in a dynamic, multilingual environment.

You will work across subsidiaries, coordinate with external auditors, and help optimise controls while supporting tax compliance in Spain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant accounting experience in multinational environments.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish accounting principles (PGC) and tax regulations.
• Experience with monthly and annual closings, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with SAGE or similar ERP systems.
• Intermediate level of English in a professional environment.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly and annual closing processes with accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments for parent and subsidiaries.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations including bank and intercompany accounts.
• Support the preparation of annual financial statements and statutory accounts.
• Contribute to monthly financial reporting with variance analysis and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure proper accounting treatment and invoicing.
• Assist external auditors during financial audits.
