Placements24 seeks an experienced Logistics and Distribution Manager to lead the end-to-end operations for an FMCG distributor in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will optimize warehousing, inventory, transportation, and order fulfillment while driving efficiency and cost control.

The role requires 5–7 years in logistics, a relevant bachelor's degree, and proven leadership in FMCG environments. You will manage a team, implement process improvements, and ensure health and safety compliance.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in logistics and distribution management within FMCG.
• Proven experience in warehousing, inventory, and transportation operations.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain principles and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, team management and communication skills.
• Proficiency with WMS, TMS, and ERP systems and MS Office Suite.
• Data analysis to identify trends and drive process improvements.
• Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making ability.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in warehousing and transport.
• Eligible to work legally in South Africa.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee all logistics and distribution functions including warehousing, inventory control, and transportation.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize the supply chain, reduce costs and improve service levels.
• Lead and develop the logistics team, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
• Ensure accurate inventory management, stock levels and cycle counting.
• Coordinate route planning, carrier selection, and fleet management for timely deliveries.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety and transportation regulations.
• Establish KPIs for logistics operations and drive corrective actions as needed.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, transport providers, and stakeholders.
• Oversee warehouse safety, security and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to budget development and management for the logistics department.
