Job summary

GE Vernova in Barcelona seeks a ROC Technical Lead for remote operations in wind energy. You will monitor offshore wind assets, lead diagnostic efforts, and support commissioning and service phases to ensure reliable turbine performance.

You will collaborate with site teams and engineering experts, analyse data for faults and trends, and contribute to improvements while handling rotating shifts and occasional on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot field issues.
• Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time and relocate if required.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimization
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays
