Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center in Barcelona to oversee offshore wind assets. You’ll monitor performance, diagnose issues, and support commissioning and service activities from a central hub.

You’ll collaborate with site teams and engineering experts to ensure safe, efficient operations, analyze data for trends, and drive continuous improvement while balancing rotating shifts and occasional on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent with wind energy experience.
• Hands-on operation or maintenance of wind turbines.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot.
• Travel up to 20% and relocation to Barcelona if required.
• Fluent English communication; strong collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call rotations during weekends/public holidays.
