Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a remote Technical Services Specialist for Surgical Robotics to support the Hugo robotic system and DS1 platform across EMEA. You will troubleshoot complex technical issues, provide remote assistance to health care professionals, and act as a bridge between customers and field service engineers.

The role requires engineering degree, 4+ years robotics or motion control experience, fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian, and the ability to work from 8:00 to 16:30 CET with

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in biomedical/electrical/mechanical fields or medical degree with tech experience.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2).
• Experience with robotics or motion control in large capital equipment.
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
• Experience diagnosing and improving technical processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for Hugo system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE; act as a liaison between stakeholders and operating unit.
• Drive escalation process; initiate field service when needed.
• Collaborate with other specialists to troubleshoot complex service requests.
• Perform technical activities requiring judgment; own continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure all documentation/system entries are complete promptly.
• Focus on remote support with occasional onsite training domestically and internationally.
• Work hours 8:00–16:30 CET; on-call 7:00–19:00 with rotating colleagues.
