Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Remote Technical Services Specialist for Surgical Robotics to provide expert remote support for the Hugo robotic system and DS1 AI platform. The role requires multilingual capabilities, robust robotics experience, and strong problem-solving in a healthcare setting.

You will coordinate with health care professionals, SUS and FSE, handle escalations, and contribute to continuous improvement while working CET hours with on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 2+ years, or a medical degree with technical skills.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2).
• Experience with robotics or motion control within a large capital equipment environment.
• Highly organized, able to multitask and prioritize assignments.
• Experience with analyzing technical issues and processes for continuous improvement.
• Experience with software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for the Hugo system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE.
• Drive escalation to resolve customer issues and initiate field service when needed.
• Collaborate with other technical service specialists to troubleshoot complex service requests.
• Own continuous improvement projects and ensure documentation is complete promptly.
• Focus on remote support with occasional onsite visits domestically and internationally.
• Maintain regular hours 8:00–16:30 CET and participate in on-call rotation.
