Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a remote Technical Service Specialist for the Hugo robotic system and DS1, supporting EMEA with highly skilled medical engineering expertise. The role requires strong problem solving, multi‑tasking, and excellent communication with HCP, SUS, and FSE colleagues.

Primary responsibilities include remote support, escalation management, and collaboration with global teams, with domestic and international travel for onsite training as needed. Competitive package offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering, with 4+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 2+ years, or a medical degree with technical skills.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2) is required.
• Experience with robotics or motion control in a capital equipment environment.
• Highly organized, able to multitask and prioritize assignments.
• Experience with software troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for the Hugo robotic system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE.
• Lead escalation processes to resolve customer issues and coordinate needed field service support.
• Collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot complex service requests.
• Perform technical activities requiring significant judgment and own continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure documentation and system entries are complete promptly.
• Focus on remote support with occasional on-site training domestically and internationally.
• Work hours 8:00–16:30 CET with on-call from 7:00–19:00, rotating among colleagues.
