Job summary

Medtronic in Madrid is seeking a remote Technical Services Specialist for the Hugo robotic system and DS1 to support healthcare professionals across EMEA. You will handle remote engineering support, troubleshooting, and occasional on-site training abroad.

Requires advanced engineering degree and fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian, with experience in robotics or motion control. The role offers a cross-country remote work setup and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biomedical, electrical or mechanical engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 2+ years; medical degree with tech skills also acceptable.
Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2) is required.
Robotics or motion control experience in a large capital equipment environment.

Responsibilities

Provide remote technical support for the Hugo robotic system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE; act as a tech liaison between stakeholders and the operating unit.
Drive escalation processes to resolve customer issues and initiate field service when needed.
Collaborate with other technical service specialists to troubleshoot complex service requests.
Perform technical activities with significant judgment and own continuous improvement projects.
Ensure all documentation and system entries are completed promptly.
Focus on remote support with occasional on-site training domestically and internationally.
Regular hours 8:00–16:30 CET; on-call 7AM–7PM (rotating).
