Job summary

Illumina seeks a Sales Specialist – Arrays to cover the Mediterranean region (Spain or Italy) with remote travel 50–60%. You will protect and grow array business for human and agrigenomics, collaborating with subregional teams, product management and support functions to drive long-term revenue and margins.

The role requires deep knowledge of arrays, workflows, and software solutions, plus ability to manage large strategic deals and build strong customer relationships across levels.

Qualifications

• PhD in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Chemistry or Biochemistry preferred or equivalent MS with relevant work.
• Significant experience with DNA microarray technology and genotyping applications.
• Strong sales or customer-facing experience with ability to discuss problems with customers.

Responsibilities

• Own all aspects of customer relationship management within array markets.
• Develop strategic plans for winning new business and expanding market share.
• Identify opportunities and pursue large deals valued at $1M or more.
• Lead campaigns and collaborate with account management and product teams.
• Maintain regular interactions with customers and Illumina management.
