Job summary

Eurofins is seeking a Financial Controller for a fully remote leadership role in Spain. You will oversee all accounting operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide strategic financial insights to senior management.

The position requires experience with Spanish GAAP and IFRS, plus SAP/Oracle and advanced Excel skills. Ideal candidates have 7+ years in accounting or finance, strong leadership, and the ability to drive process improvements across distributed teams while managing budgeting

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with senior/ controller responsibilities.
• Proven experience with Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
• Expertise in SAP, Oracle, and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong leadership, team management and communication abilities.
• Experience in fully remote environments and distributed teams.
• Professional certification (CPA/ACCA) is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including AP, AR, GL and payroll.
• Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Develop and implement accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis processes.
• Mentor and develop the accounting team and coordinate external audits.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is highly preferred.
