Job summary

MGI is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to provide on-site and remote support for NGS instruments across clinical sites. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain advanced sequencing systems, ensuring peak performance while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve service quality and customer experience.

The role requires travel within Spain, fluency in the local language and English, and a background in electro-mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Experience servicing electro-mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of local language and strong English both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on NGS instruments.
• Install and decommission sequencing systems at clinical sites.
• Maintain accurate documentation of service activities.
• Coordinate service tasks with site personnel and ensure smooth operation.
• Provide technical phone support and customer assistance.
• Train colleagues and partners on system maintenance.
• Develop and update service instruction documentation.
• Suggest design improvements to enhance reliability and user experience.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Support manufacturing operations as needed.
