MGI is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide both onsite and remote service for Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) instruments. You will troubleshoot, install, and maintain systems at clinical sites, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to documented procedures.

You will train colleagues on maintenance, help develop service documentation, and propose improvements to enhance reliability and user experience, while traveling as needed and maintaining strict confidentiality and safety

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related field.
• Proven experience servicing electro-mechanical systems; medical devices a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.

Responsabilidades

• Troubleshoot, repair, and preventive maintenance on NGS sequencing systems.
• Install and decommission NGS systems at clinical sites per protocols.
• Maintain accurate service activity documentation.
• Coordinate service tasks with site personnel to ensure smooth operation.
• Provide technical telephone support to customers.
• Train colleagues and partners on NGS maintenance and servicing.
• Develop and update service instruction documentation.
• Recommend design improvements to enhance reliability and serviceability.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Support manufacturing operations as needed.
• Travel as required.
• Handle confidential information securely.
