AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Python Developer in Sevilla to build and scale an event-driven integration platform. You will develop APIs, resilience mechanisms, and AI-facing integrations for the ITSM ecosystem.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of production Python experience, strong API design skills, and a passion for GenAI-enabled development. The role offers flextime with remote and office options in a globally distributed squad.

Formación

• 4+ years of production experience with Python, including typed, tested, packaged services and APIs.
• Strong grasp of event-driven and asynchronous architecture and related patterns.
• Experience with REST API design and OpenAPI; familiarity with AsyncAPI.
• Experience with Apache Kafka or equivalent streaming platform.
• GenAI-assisted development experience or keen to adopt AI coding agents.
• Testing discipline (pytest, contract testing), CI/CD pipelines, Linux, Git and containers.
• Ability to communicate trade-offs clearly to a global audience.
• Desire to continuously learn and evaluate new tools carefully.

Responsabilidades

• Build and evolve a Python service handling an observation/intent/outcome event taxonomy and a durable event log.
• Design and maintain contract-first interfaces using OpenAPI and AsyncAPI.
• Develop the platform's correlation and decision layer to apply ITSM actions exactly once.
• Implement resilience mechanisms to handle degraded or unavailable upstream platforms.
• Create multiple access patterns (fire-and-forget, submit-and-poll, webhooks, streaming) for diverse use cases.
• Develop event type registry and self-service onboarding for teams.
• Build GenAI-facing integration surfaces for agent skills and tool-calling interfaces.
• Modernise legacy integrations via managed deprecation paths.
• Own quality end-to-end including code review, testing, observability and production support.
• Participate in squad ceremonies and customer meetings to align requirements.
• Take ownership of components/projects and document architecture decisions.
