AgileEngine is seeking a Python Developer to build and scale an event-driven integration platform with APIs, resilience, and GenAI-facing integrations. You’ll work across storage, messaging, and ITSM interactions to ensure reliable, scalable delivery.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of Python production experience, strong knowledge of asynchronous architectures, and familiarity with OpenAPI/AsyncAPI, Kafka, and CI/CD. Flexible remote and office options available.

Formación

• 4+ years of production experience with Python, including typed, tested, packaged services and APIs.
• Experience with event-driven and asynchronous architecture, including messaging, durable logs, and idempotency.
• REST API design with OpenAPI; familiarity with AsyncAPI contracts.
• Experience with Apache Kafka or equivalent streaming platform.
• GenAI-assisted development and comfort with AI coding agents.
• Testing discipline (pytest, contract testing), CI/CD pipelines, Linux, Git, containers.
• Strong communication to justify architectural trade-offs to a global audience.
• Desire to keep learning and evaluate new tools critically.

Responsabilidades

• Build and evolve a Python service handling event taxonomy, durable replayable logs, and ITSM actions.
• Design and maintain contract-first interfaces using OpenAPI and AsyncAPI.
• Create a correlation layer that deduplicates, correlates, and applies actions exactly once.
• Develop platform resilience to handle degraded or unavailable upstream vendor platforms.
• Support multiple access patterns: fire-and-forget, submit-and-poll, webhooks and streams.
• Develop event type registry and self-service onboarding for teams.
• Build GenAI-facing interfaces for agent skills and tool-calling.
• Modernize legacy integrations with managed deprecation paths.
• Own quality end-to-end: reviews, standards, testing, observability, and production support.
• Participate in squad ceremonies and customer-facing meetings.
• Take ownership of components or projects and document significant decisions.
